SASWMA environmental presentations are based on and meet the State of Ohio Academic Content Standards.
Presentation examples:

The Three R's Puppet Show (Grades K-2) a delightful presentation that features puppets made from aluminum, plastic, glass and paper. These charming recycled characters teach about reducing, reusing, and recycling. After the show children make puppets to take home.
Closing the Loop (Grades 3-4)
a uniquely funny story board of Don Madden’s “The Wartville Wizard.” Students explore what types of materials are in our waste stream, learning the power of “CHOICE.” Students are shown examples of everyday items that are made from recycled materials. Our educator comes dressed in a “Recycled Material Costume.” Fun for all!
Garbage Pizza (Grades 5-8) a colorful PowerPoint presentation about what is in our waste, where our waste goes, why we recycle and what we recycle with specific information on paper, aluminum and steel, plastics, glass and rubber. Addresses alternative choices we can make to conserve natural resources.
Material World (Grades 6-12) a pictorial view of average families around the world and what possessions are important to them according to culture and natural resources available. Students investigate how these possessions impact the environment.
Environmental ABC's (Grades 9-12) a panel of environmental 
educators, from the areas of solid waste, agriculture, hazardous waste, air quality and environmental health, discusses diverse environmental career options.
Environmental Footprint of a Cell Phone (Grades 6 to Adult) an enlightening PowerPoint presentation that discusses the lifecycle of a cell phone and its environmental impact. Includes extraction of natural resources, metal mining, processing, manufacturing, transportation, and energy used along with the pollution and waste generated during the process.
